Our
round pen clinician Bruce Anderson could be called
a "Horse Whisperer," but he prefers "Horse
Gentler." His philosophy of working with horses
and people in the round pen has evolved by using tools
he has acquired from other clinicians and personal
experience.

British-born
chief instructor Deborah Bowerman-Davies is a British
Horse Society Trained Instructor, and is a Certified
American Riding Instructor in Dressage and Combined
Training. A Former member of the junior 3-Day Event
Team in Great Britain, she continues riding, competing
and training with members of the United States Equestrian
Team, and the founder of Connected Riding, Peggy Cummings.
Deborah has also competed successfully in the hunter/jumpers
and in the upper levels of dressage.

Through
a lifetime with horses, our farm manager Trina McGuire
has acquired a wealth of knowledge which she passes
on to her students. Trina enjoys teaching beginners
of all ages and she is often seen with an entourage
of eager learners following her around the farm!

The Four Harmony Foundation is very fortunate to have
Dr. Judith Shoemaker on staff and as an Advisory Council
member. Dr. Shoemaker is an international instructor/consultant
in traditional and alternative veterinary therapy and
is available regularly for treatment and consultation
for the Foundation/client's equine athletes. Dr. Shoemaker
is currently licensed in 15 states and uses traditional
techniques and alternative therapies such as: chiropractic
manipulation, acupuncture, homeopathy and herbs to treat
her equine patients as well as conventional medicine. |

Psychiatric
consultant, Pamela Shirley M.D., graduated from the University
of North Carolina School of Medicine At Chapel Hill and completed
her residency and fellowship training at the University of
Kentucky College of Medicine. She worked for six years on
the faculty at UK before leaving to pursue her interest in
equine-facilitated experiential learning and psychotherapy.
She is board-certified in Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry
and her special areas of interest include children with Learning
and Developmental problems and Neuropsychiatric Disorders.
